DUBAI EYE : World’s biggest observation Wheel…latest construction update photos

There has been a visible progress at the Dubai Eye construction site lately as it is heading towards the Spring 2017 opening.

The Wheel is being currently built on a manmade Bluewater Island in front of Dubai Marina and once completed, it will top the currently tallest wheel – High Roller in Las Vegas ( 167m / 550ft )

The 210m ( 688ft ) tall structure will be able to carry up to 1,400 passengers in its 48 capsules, and provide views of Dubai Marina and landmarks such as Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, and Burj Khalifa.

Its base will serve as an entertainment zone, and an 80m (260ft) LED screen will be mounted on the wheel creating an electronic platform for broadcasting, advertisements, and other information’s.

Retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment zones are being constructed around the wheel and all DH475 ($129 )mil. infrastructure is 80% finished.

The Island also opens first Venu branded hotel under the Jumeirah group umbrella and more than three million visitors is expected annually…
